The class of 1979 30 year reunion is in the works. It will be on September 12, 2009 at the DoubleTree Hotel Downtown at 7pm. Cocktail attire $89.00/person. We are in the process of blocking rooms for those who are interested and should be available in October after the hotel has full staff service after resulting from Hurricane Ike.

Anyone going to the 1979 30 year reunion? Just wondering how many people are coming. I got a card in the mail today. Cost is $89 per person. Deadline is August 14, 2009. After that it will cost $99 per person. It will be $109 per person at the door (cash only). They want everyone to submit a bio sheet even if they are not attending the reunion so it can be printed in the book. All bio book advertising sales will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. All checks or money orders are made payable to "Great Reunions". This price is the "cash" discount price for a check or money order. There is a $4 convenience fee for credit cards. All payments received within the last 4 weeks from the Friday prior to the reunion will be charged an additional $10 per ticket. There is a $10 per ticket processing fee for all refunds. However, refund requests must be received no later than 7 days prior to the reunion. All pre-paid tickets must be recieved by 4 pm the Thursday prior to the reunion. All pre-paid tickets are held at the door.

Everything is going great with the reunion I have already paid ahead of time to get the cheaper rate for me and my wife. It will be a great get away for the weekend I have talked to quite a few and they are coming. I hope that everyone is getting the word out because we are havinganother meeting on finalizing plans

At the reunion website there is a page where they list all the classmates and when you click on their name a copy of their yearbook photo appears. Great for trying to put a name with a face.
